The Zoo

Last weekend, Justin and I went to the Toronto Zoo. It was fantastic. I am a big fan of zoos anyway because I like to be so close to the animals. I am also glad some injured animals have a place to live where people take care of them and like to be around them. As well, all of the kinds of animals that need animal friends have them, since the zoo is so big. There are seven elephants! Elephants are one of my favorite animals. They also have two cheetahs, a bunch of lions, hippos, a white rhinocerous, a very sleepy tapir, lots of apes and monkeys of different kinds, and geese. That was the funniest thing about the zoo was all the geese that were hanging out there, getting food. They even had signs up explaining aggressive goose behavior and how to avoid an aggressive goose (mostly during mating season). The zoo is huge. We spent four hours there and only saw Africa and Indo-Malaysia. There is a Canada section, the Americas, and Eurasia. So, we'll need to go back. Yay!
